CLOTHING FOR CHILDREN

Using donations, we purchased gently used clothes, shoes and backpacks for children living in Kaindu village, Zambia. Clothes arrived, shrink wrapped, in bulk, and were laid on ground tarps for kids to pick out items they liked.

KAINDU VILLAGE

Kaindu village is home to about 2500 people, including about 112 school-age children, and till now have been untouched by relief organizations. Farming and herding animals are the major roles for children.

Our children are the hope of our future.

AGE APPROPRIATE SCHOOL BOOKS

Our 2023 donations allowed Emma's Helping Hands to supply the community school with text books, notebooks, and much needed school supplies.

Special thanks to young author Nadia Johnson, who donated 50 autographed reading books.

TAMMY AINSWORTH LIBRARY

Using our donations, Emma's Helping Hands provided the community with a library for school children to use. The new library was named in memory of Tammy Ainsworth.

It was Tammy's steadfast faith despite overwhelming physical limitations that we hope will inspire all for years to come.

KAINDU MEDICAL CLINIC 2023

Your donations enabled the purchase of enough medication and supplies to treat over 400 children and adults. Medication was purchased in Zambia, in order to have familiar branding, and additionally to stimulate the local economy.

MEDICAL TEAM 2023

Our team operated on a  100% volunteer basis, and consisted of physicians, nurses and pharmacists. Beyond this, we are grateful to family members and friends who donated their time.

University Teaching Hospital
Lusaka, Zambia

Emma's Helping Hands has also partnered with Zambia's University Teaching Hospital. UTH is located in Zambia's capital city of Lusaka, and is the country's major referral hospital. Our aim is to provide assistance to the medical staff in various forms of hospital and patient supplies, such as blankets and iPads (shown above).

We feel blessed to work with and learn from these dedicated Zambian professionals. One thing is for certain, the University Teaching Hospital of Zambia is dedicated to improving the lives of all they serve, and have inspired us to a deeper appreciation of medical care with compassion.
